We are going to reward you for staying healthy!

Nicole Pope, Team 303, Wins

Congratulations to Team 303, Weight "loss" Wonder Women. According to team Captain, Alanna Jackson, (left above) everyone on her team will be at or below their starting weight by December. Team member Nicole Pope was very eligible for this month’s drawing with a sizable and growing weight loss. “I joined the contest because I needed a team to help me, began Nicole. My key to success is consistency. I have stopped eating at night, began eating breakfast and stopped eating seconds. I try to exercise more, primarily walking”, concluded Nicole. What Nicole is doing matches the research that finds by just cutting out 100 calories a day will yield a 10 pound weight loss per year. A little every day adds up. Congratulations to Team 303 and to Nicole.

Tina Cadwaller, Team 306, Wins

From left in back row – Julie Owsinski, Kathy Little, Kornelia Presswood, Mary Geer, Wendy Evans, Lisa Wolfe. Front and center – Tina Cadwallader.

Tina Cadwallader is the second monthly winner in the NOMP contest. “I could not have done it without my team”, was the first thing Tina recommends. Tina stopped smoking and not unlike others who have quit, began to gain weight. When she joined the Dump Your Plump program, she was not sure it would work for her. “I was surprised that I was successful in meeting my weight loss goal” said Tina.  “I thought I would fail. I did not want to be the weak link on our team”. She continues to walk on a regular basis and  prepares nutritious foods for a whole week every Sunday. “Before, my refrigerator had few low calorie choices” continued Tina. “Now every Sunday I literally make a salad bar of choices for the week”. The exercise, better food choices and weekly team weigh-in are her keys to success. Her team Captain, Mary Greer agrees, “It is the teamwork that has made this the easiest way I have ever tried to lose and keep the weight off”.

Joyce Anderson,team 308, Wins

Joyce Anderson from team 308 is the first winner of the NOMP contest.
Not only did she not gain a pound, she has lost a few more pounds since
the end of the Dump Your Plump contest. When ask how she did it, she
said " I continued the same disciplines I followed during the Dump Your
Plump program of daily exercise and dietary modification". She
exercises five times a week by attending 3 spinning classes and by
going two other days of the week to the GYM for a hour of cardio and a
half hour of weight training. Joyce began the DYP program with a
lifestyle change in mind. She did not diet or feel deprived. She finds
a free site, sparkpeople.com, as very helpful in changing her dietary
intake. Not unlike most Americans, the pace of life and kids forced out
the time for exercise and the focus on good nutrition. "I knew I gained
weight and the Doctor gave me a reality check last August", continued
Joyce. Joyce wants to tell others that it is not as hard as you think
to find "me time" for daily exercise and good nutrition. She feels much
better now than last year when she did not follow her improved
lifestyle. She cannot wait to see her physician this year in August to
show off her improved health habits. As for what she plans to do with
her $50 prized, she plans on buying some tight fitting close to remind
her of her success.
