George Drapcho's email to companies
As the new Chairperson for the Wellness Resource Guide committee of the
Northeast Ohio Wellness Council, I ask you to send me a list of the vendors you
are currently using or have used for your wellness program. As companies start
offering wellness, one of their first questions they often ask is: “Who offers
what in the form of wellness services?”. Our committee will only use your
information to develop our list. We will not publish your company’s name as the
source of our information.
Why should you participate? As a leading company with a well established
wellness program, we know the Resource Guide we develop is not intended for your
organization. Smaller companies need this information more than companies who
have been active for years in the wellness arena. We look to you as a source of
valuable information to make the wellness transition easier for other companies
to invest in worksite wellness. When we achieve a critical mass of companies
doing significant wellness programs all companies including yours can make a
greater wellness investment.
I work for Varbros, a leading manufacturer of high production parts for the
automotive industry with less than 500 employees. We just recently started our
wellness program. I personally have lost pounds, lowered my cholesterol and
increased my exercise since the start of our program. I know our company would
have benefited from having access to such a list. I know that wellness works and
I need your help to get us this information so other companies can begin
wellness programs in their workplace.
If for some reason you feel that your company cannot participate, would you
please be so kind as to send a response with a few words why you cannot, so I
can better shape our search for this type of information. You may receive a
